J&J Design collects information you provide directly, such as:

• Your name and contact information when you fill out a form
• Your email address if you reach out to us or sign up for updates

We also automatically collect:

• Pages visited and time spent on our site
• IP address (anonymized)

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your inquiries and provide our services

Third-Party Services

Our website uses the following third-party services that may collect data:

• Google Fonts: web fonts are loaded from Google’s servers. Google may collect your IP address and browser information. Google’s privacy policy.
• FormSubmit: our contact form is delivered through FormSubmit, which processes the message, name, and email address you submit and forwards them to us by email. FormSubmit’s website.
• J&J Design Portal CDN: images on this site are served from portal.jandj-design.ca, our own content delivery network hosted on Amazon CloudFront/S3. Standard web request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) may be retained by our hosting provider for security and diagnostic purposes.

Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are most helpful, so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_<id>) and collects information such as the pages you view, the website you arrived from, and general device and browser details. Google Analytics 4 anonymizes IP addresses and does not store your full IP address. This information is processed by Google on our behalf; see Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Your location sets the default, and you can always override it. If you visit from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you choose Accept on the consent banner (opt-in). Everywhere else — including Canada — analytics is enabled by default so we can see which pages help most, and you can switch it off at any time by choosing Decline (opt-out). Either way we use Google Consent Mode to honour your choice, and we never set advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies. You can change your choice at any time:

We retain Google Analytics data for up to 14 months. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as expected without them. We do not use advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.

Your Rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal requirements)
• Withdraw your consent for data collection at any time
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time
